Position Summary
Responsible for procurement and purchasing activities in compliance with company procedures, airworthiness requirements, and regulatory standards under Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT). The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of aircraft parts, materials, tools, and services to support maintenance and operational requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Purchasing Operations
- Prepare and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) to approved vendors and suppliers.
- Evaluate quotations based on price, lead time, certification, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO) to selected vendors.
- Ensure parts and materials are procured only from approved suppliers with proper certification (e.g., ARC, C of C).
- Verify that part number (P/N), serial number (S/N), condition, and certification documents match and show no trace of alteration.
2. Aviation Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all procured aircraft parts and materials comply with airworthiness regulations stipulated by the company and CAAT.
- Maintain documentation in accordance with aviation regulatory and audit requirements.
- Support internal and external audits related to procurement and logistics documentation.
3. Vendor & Supplier Management
- Maintain updated approved vendor list (AVL).
- Track vendor performance including quality, delivery time, and service standards.
- Maintain professional and respectful relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and cargo agents for inbound and outbound shipments.
4. Logistics & Cost Control
- Distinguish urgency level of orders and apply proper Shipping Priority Codes:
- AOG (Aircraft on Ground) – Immediate operational impact; urgent delivery required.
- Expedite / Critical – Urgent requirement; delivery within specified short timeframe.
- Routine / Stock Replenishment – Standard delivery within supplier lead time.
- Monitor shipping costs and ensure cost-effective transportation methods.
- Liaise with customs and cargo agents to ensure efficient clearance process.
5. Financial & Documentation Control
- Verify supplier invoices against issued Purchase Orders in coordination with Finance Department.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and filing system for full traceability.
- Ensure proper document control for purchasing and logistics documents.
- Support annual budgeting process by monitoring procurement expenditures.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and airworthiness requirements under CAAT.
- Understanding of Human Factors and Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization Annex 19.
- Knowledge of Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE) is an advantage.
- Experience in aviation procurement, aircraft parts purchasing, or MRO environment is preferred.
- Good command of English (technical reading and documentation).
